Some women wash their faces with deodorant soap. And unfortunately, these women do not know the dangers of doing such.

Give us a moment while we take a deep breath! It’s true that some women do wash their faces with deodorant soap. We know it’s not you, but would you please pass this information along to your friend?

Facial skin has a lower pH than the rest of your body. That means it’s slightly more acidic. A deodorant soap, however, is more alkaline. When applied to your face, it encourages the growth of acne-causing bacteria.

It’s also drying. That’s why grabbing whatever is in the shower to clean your skin is not a good idea. The stronger the deodorant soap, the more it strips your facial skin of protective lipids and proteins.

And all that dryness? Tell her it really ages her skin.
